Opening of Piara Village Centre

Blackmont Property’s $40 million Piara Village mixed-use neighbourhood shopping centre – an extension of the CY O’Connor Village Pub precinct – was officially opened by Jandakot MLA Yaz Mubarakai today.

Piara Village, at 12 Erade Drive, Piara Waters, has a Tucker Fresh IGA, Nido Childcare, Garden Medical Centre, Chemist Warehouse, BP Service Station (opened in July), BobaBoba Bubble Tea, Banter Fitness and physiotherapy and hairdressing services.

Four fast food tenancies are expected to be announced shortly. Brightwater Care is also building a contemporary 1ha residential village for those living with Huntington’s disease on site. Piara Waters High School opened at the start of the year.

Blackmont Property director John Young said the City of Armadale had run a professional design and approval process for Piara Village, which gives residents in the fast-growing surrounds greater choice of services.

“We worked hard to create an appealing community focused design for one of the last commercial sites in the area,” Mr Young said.

“The biggest challenge was rising construction costs, which we managed by using three builders, separating civil works, using specialist Tydan Constructions to complete the BP service station and Sarich Building to finish the main centre and specialty stores.”

Mr Mubarakai officially opened Piara Village’s Tucker Fresh IGA, which specialises in fresh produce and ready-made meals prepared by an in-store chef.

“Another great addition for the residents of Piara Waters and Harrisdale, who are extremely excited about the opening,” Mr Mubarakai said.

Piara Waters, 26km from Perth CBD, is a highly sought after residential enclave of existing and planned quality housing estates by Stockland (Wildflower, 600 lots), Satterley (Aarya, 400 lots), Aigle Royal Group (Ayana) and Celsius Property Group.
